My Story
I was born in BC, raised on a boat, and educated everywhere. As a young adult, I studied acting and dance education in Vancouver before moving to the United States. Since then, my training has included studies at Shakespeare's Globe in London, an MFA in Acting at UC Davis, and, more recently, a year of conservatory training with New York's Atlantic Acting School.
As an educator, I've worked with student performers of all ages, striving for a solid grounding in technique while encouraging them to leave fear and dignity outside the rehearsal room door. As a director, I'm particularly interested in collaborative performance, physical theatre, gut-shaking Shakespeare, and making stuff up.
After many years in the US, I returned to Canada, spending four years teaching theatre at Marianopolis College in Montréal before moving back to Vancouver Island, where I grew up. Since returning, I've appeared in The Moors at Theatre Inconnu, performed sketch comedy with Garden City Improv, and am looking forward to directing a production at Inconnu in 2027.
